BRIEF
The look & feel required for Blades was a blend of contemporary and retro, a celebration of the history of roller-skating, taking you back to joyful skating in the park as a kid - but bringing it into the present day with modern appeal, skating is experiencing a huge come-back and I am HERE for it!
WHAT I DID
I created a hand-lettered word-mark with a continuous flowing line to help evoke the fluid feeling of sailing along on skates, and developed a set of icons to be used as digital stickers on imagery to help bring the fun.
RESULT
The end visual identity delivered a perfect set of brand graphics to utilise on social media which was a key requirement - and the wordmark is also perfect to use in an 'over-sized' way on the boots themselves, giving an on-brand way to create pattern.
The colour palette is bold & colourful with a nod to retro vibes - used in carefully considered combinations this brings a modern touch.
